I enjoyed learning another aspect of WW2 that I wasn't aware of, which is the internment of the Dutch (who were living in Indonesia) by the Japanese. The cruelty and violence that existed in the internment camps is not pleasant, but what shines forth is the resilience, resourcefulness and courage of a mother for her children.
