The different faces of love

This Saturday is Valentine's Day, and is one of the busiest days in the year for florists. While chocolates, flowers and jewelry are all being suggested to us as a means to demonstrate our affections to our loved one. It is also a good time to reflect on 'love' itself.

An article by Sue Devereux I read in the Welcom recently, wrote about the faces of love. There is "romantic love; courageous love in the face of trials; forgiving love after failure; simple love of a neighbour; or joyous love of nature." Can you think of others?

"Love never fails" 1 Cor 13: 8. Love never to fails to do what? My response to this considered that "Love never fails to make a difference". How would you answer this question?

Do you know anything about St. Valentine? He is patron saint of love, young people (this guy is on your side) and happy marriages. For more go to New Advent

And if you are in the mood for reading a romance novel, there are several on display in the library at present.
